Ezio Auditore Da Firenze from Assassin's Creed II
Made several changes from the original reference: - Replaced his weapon entirely, changed from a War Axe to a Halberd. - Changed his leather glove to a Metal Cestus - Added Helschmeid decoration to his shoulder plates. - Changed shape and design of cape, from plain cape to Medici cape. - Changed the hanging bits of material under the belt.
I really love you use of shading and the implied light source coming from behind. The ax looks fantastic and the detailing is to die for ;D Everything is flowing in the correct direction (which some people forget to check) and there is an obvious difference in textures which can be hard to relay in black and white. I love this with out color, it's simple (by means of just character and no background) which is fine because the level of detail makes up for the lack of background. I believe if you added a background it would loose some of it's beauty because the whole picture would be lost in its self. Really your drawing is outstanding!
I loved the detail on this. I know most artists would not have taken the time to put in detail like this. However, I agree with Doomrunner on the fact that (at least for me) this could have used color, or a background. Perhaps someone lying dead behind him? I don't know about anyone else, but I would have loved something like that. Had you included color, you would have been able to add even more detail to this. Maybe a bit of blood on his weapon? All that aside, you sir have done an excellent job. I can't wait to see what else you have in store.
Jesus, you use 8B to draw stuff? I never go beyond 3B, I smudge the paper too quickly, any technique to avoid hand contact or you just keep you hand elevated? Do you flip the paper around a shittun ? XD
What, you mean you have a piece of paper under yor hand while drawing on another piece of paper? WHAT IS THIS INCEPTION SHIT YOU'RE MAKING MY HEAD HURT WITH!!
