certainly, you've achieved the chainmail effect superbly, as well as the contrast/distance aspect you were looking for. And I agree with the other comments, you have an incredible eye for detail

The chainmail looks great, but it seems like there's a bit of space vertically between the lines of chain, especially on his right arm. It seems to me like the weight of the chain mail would expand it, pull it down so that more links are visible as you get closer to the bottom. (I hope that makes sense...) The only other thing I can see would be that the guard's neck looks a little long to me.
I particularly like how the blood spatter is out of focus as it closer it gets to the viewer. Everything flows very well and you have an incredible eye for detail. All said and done, this is incredible work!
